Rules and Requirements

How do I become an instructor?

Set up your instructor account on Teacherstutors.com

  1. Your course should be at least 30 minutes
  2. 30% of your course should be on video
  3. The quality of your course should be visually clear to your audience
  4. Think about how you can share your talent and turn it into entrepreneur opportunities.
  5. Come teach with Teachers R Tutors and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Here is how you can get started:

  1. Create your lesson plan
  2. Record at least 30% of your course on video
  3. Upload and launch your online course

Can I teach a course on any topic?

You are free to choose the topic you wish to teach on Teachersrtutors.com.

However, there are some restricted topics.  Restricted topics are topics that are not allowed.

We do not approve content in some topic areas or may publish only in limited circumstances. Subject matter may be excluded due to concerns that it is considered either inappropriate, harmful, or offensive to learners, or because it is otherwise inconsistent with our platform values.

It is the responsibility of all instructors to ensure their courses follow our policy, including our content quality values and standards.

Do I have to pay any fees to become an instructor?

There are no fees to become an Instructor.  Instructors are paid according to a revenue share model of 50/50.  You earn 50% from the sell of your courses on our platform, and we earn 50%. 

What approval do I need to get started as an instructor?

No approval needed to upload a free course.  You just upload your course and start instructing.  

To create free or paid courses, all instructors must register.

Are there any requirements that my course must meet?

Yes. Courses must have at least 30% video content.

How do you pay instructors?

First, you must have a paypal account to get paid.  We process all payments once a month for all earnings through our payment processor Paypal.  If you do not have a Paypal account, please setup your Paypal account by visiting PayPal.com.  Once you have your account setup with Paypal, we will need your “Paypal account email” that you used uploaded into your account profile with Teacchersrtutors.com.

Instructor Payout

1. As an instructor, a contract is signed with Teachersrtutors.com

2. The instructor’s “paid course” is submitted for review and then published.

3. We do payouts once a month.  We process all Instructor payouts on the last day of each month.

4. When we receive an order for an Instructor course on our platform website, all fees are transferred to Teachers R Tutors account and required taxes, and PayPal (3.4%) transaction fees are deducted before instructors are paid.  Which may also include the processing of refunds, corrections and other adjustments.

How Do Instructors Deliver Their Courses?

Generally, instructor courses are video based.  Instructors may use additional teaching tools.  However, 30% of the course should be video.

How do I get my course materials onto your website platform?

We use a standard resource upload function tool so that you can add your course files to our website so students can access your course materials. 

Who owns the rights to my course content once I upload it to your website?

You own and retain all rights (100%) to all your content that is uploaded to our website.

Will you market and promote my course?

Teachersrtutors.com is marketed and promoted all over the United States.  We specifically market our own content to recruit instructors and students to become customers.

Will You request information for Tax purposes?

Yes.  We will need information to prepare tax documents that we will need to issue to each instructor that earned an income from teachersrtutors.com for the ending tax year.

Can I use a different name than my real name for my instructor account?

Yes.  However, you may be asked to complete additional verification.  Also, keep in mind that all other information that is included in your profile must be accurate to complete the verification process. 

Can I use my business name for the verification process?

Yes.  However, the verification process could take longer to review business verification documents.

Can I use someone else’s profile picture?

No.  It must be you.

Can I register as an instructor if I am under the age of 18?

No.  You must be 18 years old to create an account.  If we discover that you have created an account that violates Teachersrtutors rules, we will terminate your account.
